Yes, but with more care: inside out, at 30°C and no tumble drying. Being a knit, it gets its shape back drying flat or hung up.

Which size do I choose if I use trouser sizes?

These shorts use S-XXL sizing: an M is roughly equivalent to a 40-42 (30-32 waist). The elasticated drawstring waist gives leeway between sizes.
